Brad M. Dashoff is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Transactions Practice. He works diligently to create practical solutions that transform his clients’ visions into tangible results on projects in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., as well as throughout the United States. He provides practical and insightful guidance on a wide range of real estate issues.

Brad counsels developers, investors, and private equity funds on a variety of real estate matters, including the acquisition, disposition, and ground leasing of commercial properties; real estate development; and the various types of debt and equity financing structures. His practice has an emphasis on structuring joint ventures and the complexities inherent in shared control and decision-making. He also represents developers in public-private partnerships and landlords in sale-leaseback transactions.

Brad works with borrowers and lenders in traditional, construction, securitized, and mezzanine financings. This experience in counseling parties on both sides of financial transactions helps him understand the priorities of the stakeholders involved. In addition, Brad represents owners and developers in multi-parcel mixed-use development projects, as well as sponsors and investors in creating real estate investment funds. His practice includes international purchase and sales and financings, which require handling complex tax and currency matters related to the conveyance of real estate in different countries.

  • Represent preferred equity investor in multi-billion-dollar mixed-use project in Washington, D.C.
  • Represent purchaser of portfolio of properties in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Germany
  • Represent master developer in redevelopment of existing Washington, D.C. area Metro station into mixed-use transit-oriented project
  • Represent nonprofit foundation in ground lease and rehabilitation of historic site in Washington, D.C.
  • Represent seller of an approximately $1 billion portfolio of office properties in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
  • Represent sponsor in the formation of multi-family private equity fund and in acquisitions and dispositions by the fund
  • Represent purchaser of a $300 million portfolio of fitness centers in a sale-leaseback transaction
  • Represent borrower of a $175 million loan secured by a multi-state portfolio of commercial properties
