James Grier Hoyt
James Grier Hoyt is the Practice Group Leader of the firm's Real Estate Transactions Group and a member of the firm's Management Committee. Mr. Hoyt represents owners, developers and users in acquisition, development, financing, leasing, ground leasing and disposition transactions for office, retail, build-to-suit and mixed use properties in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and the East Coast.
Mr. Hoyt is a constructive negotiator, closing transactions effectively and efficiently by focusing on essential matters, and constantly offering solutions and alternatives.
Mr. Hoyt’s practice includes a specialty in commercial leasing, and he is a leading leasing attorney in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Significant office leasing transactions include multi-building and full building build-to-suit and headquarters transactions. Mr. Hoyt has closed in excess of 15,000,000 square feet of leasing transactions on behalf of landlords and tenants.
Mr. Hoyt's retail work includes high end retail leasing in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and retail leasing for a first class shopping center in Rockville, Maryland.
