Bryson M. Filbert
Bryson M. Filbert is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Transactions Practice. For over 15 years, Bryson has represented public and private owners, investors and managers of commercial real estate in their acquisition, development, disposition, financing and management of all asset types. Bryson’s experience includes representing clients in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia, as well as along the entire East Coast from New Jersey to Florida, in all phases of multi-family, office, industrial, self-storage, retail, manufactured housing, mixed-use, and other residential and commercial projects. He also represents private equity funds and commercial lenders in connection with structured financing/mezzanine debt and traditional real estate-secured financing transactions. In addition to structuring and negotiating complex transactions, Bryson provides counsel for due diligence analyses, risk management, and entity formations.
Bryson takes a strategic, results-oriented approach to due diligence and deal-making, addressing issues and contingencies proactively with a view toward managing the potential implications for all parties involved. Combining attention to detail with big-picture thinking, he keeps deals on track while preserving the flexibility his clients need to react to changes in circumstances, and takes command of negotiations to ensure that his clients’ deals progress efficiently and close without last-minute issues or frustrations.
Bryson also serves on the firm’s Management Committee and chair’s the firm’s Legal Opinions Committee.
