Linowes and Blocher Proudly Supports Poor Robert's Mission

November 21, 2018

Linowes and Blocher supported Poor Roberts Mission again this Thanksgiving holiday so those families in need will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, as founder Robert D. "Bobby" Abbo, had always envisioned.  For over 40 years Poor Roberts Charities and now Poor Roberts Mission has provided thousands of local families with Thanksgiving turkeys. The turkeys are distributed through churches, community organizations, recreation centers and other community groups around the metropolitan area who have identified families in need. On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, these organizations meet to pick up their turkeys for delivery to the assigned families. On Tuesday, November 20th, a team of 50 volunteers distributed 6,915 turkeys to 93 distinct charities serving the DC area. Nearly 70,000 people will be fed this holiday due to this extraordinary Mission.

Bob Dalrymple, Managing Partner, states “Our founding fathers, R. Robert Linowes and Joseph P. Blocher, believed that not only is it our duty to give back to our community but an absolute honor to do so. Well over 60 years later, Linowes and Blocher proudly continues their legacy today."
