Impact Fee Bill

On March 1, 2010, four Anne Arundel County Councilmembers introduced Bill 12-10 to defer increases in impact fees that went into effect on January 1, 2010 and yet additional increases scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2011. In other words, the increases that went into effect on January 1, 2010 would be deferred until January 1, 2011, and the increases that were set to go into effect on January 1, 2011 would be deferred until January 1, 2012. You may wish to let the Council know whether you support the Bill.

The Bill also provides for refunds of fees paid between January 1, 2010 and the effective date of the Bill. If you paid impact fees during this time frame, and the Bill passes, you may file for a refund.
